Detroit area not among sites for 2014, 2015 NCAA basketball tournaments
Gas up the car, NCAA basketball tournament fans from southeast Michigan.
Sites for the 2014 and 2015 tournaments have been selected by the NCAA, and The Palace of Auburn Hills is not on the list. Nor is any other Michigan venue.
Regionals for the 2014 tournament will be held at Memphis, Anaheim, Indianapolis and New York.
The 2015 regionals will be at Cleveland, Los Angeles, Houston and Syracuse.
Dayton will continue to host the First Four games in 2014 and 2015.
Second- and third-round sites for 2014: Buffalo, Milwaukee, Orlando, Spokane, Raleigh, San Antonio, San Diego and St. Louis.
In 2015, second- and third-round sites will be Jacksonville, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Portland, Charlotte, Columbus, Omaha and Seattle.
The 2014 Final Four will be at North Texas (Cowboys Stadium), and the 2015 Final Four at Indianapolis.

In 2013, Michigan and Michigan State won second- and third-round games at the Palace to advance to the South and Midwest regionals, respectively.
