Michigan faces next Big Ten basketball test from Iowa

Michigan has had its way with Iowa in recent years.
JOHN BEILEIN
That might not mean anything to the current Hawkeyes when they visit Ann Arbor for a key Big Ten basketball game Wednesday night.
Iowa, which is 4-1 in the Big Ten and 15-3 overall, has lost to Villanova, at Iowa State and at Wisconsin. All three of the teams that have beaten Iowa are in the current AP Top 25.
The Hawkeyes lead the Big Ten in scoring with 86.8 points per game, and they have outscored opponents by an average of 20.2 ppg, second-best in the country to defending national champion Louisville.
Michigan has won 10 of its last 12 meetings with Iowa, including the last four at Crisler Center.
U-M and coach John Beilein defeated Iowa 95-67 last season.

Michigan puts long Crisler Center winning streak on line against Arizona

Michigan has won 20 consecutive home games against non-conference opposition as the Wolverines head into a noon Saturday match-up against No. 1 Arizona at the Crisler Center.
Kansas was the last team from outside the Big Ten to win at Ann Arbor. The Jayhawks took a 67-60 overtime victory on Jan. 9, 2011.
The Wolverines are 2-23 all-time against No. 1-ranked teams.
Michigan has not beaten a top-ranked team since taking down Duke in December 1997.
